PRIVACY POLICY

Pass98 ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, college name, graduation year
• Interview session data: your audio or text responses during mock interviews
• Performance data: scores, feedback, session history, progress trends
• Device and usage data: browser type, IP address, session duration
• For college accounts: batch lists uploaded by TPOs

2. How We Use Your Data

• To deliver AI feedback on your mock interview sessions
• To generate your progress dashboard and score trends
• To improve our AI models, only with explicit separate consent
• To send product updates and placement tips, with opt-out available anytime
• For TPO dashboards: to show aggregate batch analytics to your college

3. Data Storage and Security

All student data is stored on AWS servers located in Mumbai, India. We use AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Session recordings are deleted 90 days after the session unless you save them. We conduct quarterly security audits.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data to third parties. The only sharing that occurs is: your college's TPO can see your readiness score and domain but not your session recordings; aggregate anonymised data may be used for research; legal compliance when required by Indian law or court order.

5. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

• Right to access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Right to correction: update any incorrect personal data
• Right to erasure: delete your account and all associated data
• Right to grievance redressal: contact our Data Protection Officer
• Right to withdraw consent: for AI training use at any time

By creating a Pass98 account or using our platform, you agree to these terms. Questions? our support team

1. Your Account

• You must be 13 years or older to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person - shared accounts are not permitted
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account

2. Free Tier Limits

The free tier includes 3 mock interviews per month across 2 domains. Limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. We may modify free tier limits with 30 days notice.

3. Pro Subscription

• Pro subscribers get unlimited mocks across all 6 domains
• Monthly billing auto-renews, cancel anytime from your dashboard
• Annual plans are non-refundable after 7 days but can be downgraded
• The Rs 1,499 season pass is valid for 90 days from activation

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models; share account credentials with others; use the platform to generate content for academic dishonesty; scrape or automate interactions with the platform; upload any content that is harmful, illegal, or violates third-party rights.

5. Refund Policy

Monthly Pro subscriptions: full refund within 7 days if you have completed fewer than 5 mocks. Season passes: refund within 7 days of purchase. Annual plans: prorated refund within 14 days. No refunds after these windows.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

COOKIE POLICY

We use minimal, functional cookies only. No ad tracking, no cross-site surveillance.

Cookies we use

• Session cookie: keeps you logged in during a browser session. Deleted when you close your browser.
• Preference cookie: remembers your domain selection and UI preferences. Expires in 90 days.
• Analytics cookie: anonymous session counts via Plausible Analytics. DPDP compliant, no fingerprinting.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any ad retargeting cookies. You can clear all Pass98 cookies at any time through your browser settings without losing account data.

DPDP COMPLIANCE

Pass98 is fully compliant with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Data Fiduciary Status

Pass98 acts as a Data Fiduciary for individual student and TPO accounts. For college institutional deployments, Pass98 may act as a Data Processor on behalf of the institution as Data Fiduciary.

Consent Management

• Consent is obtained at account creation for core platform data collection
• Separate consent is obtained for any use of data in AI model training
• Consent withdrawal is available at any time via account settings
• We do not process children's data - minimum age is 13 years

Data Localisation

All personal data is stored on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. No personal data is transferred outside India without explicit consent.
